What REPLAYD needs

Requirements

Runs on

Windows 10 (version 2004 or newer) and 11, 64-bit; Linux in development. On Windows 10, Windows draws a yellow border around a game while it's being captured, and only Windows 11 lets REPLAYD turn it off

Graphics

A graphics card with a hardware video encoder

Codecs

H.264, HEVC and AV1, whichever your graphics card supports; 10-bit color with HEVC and AV1

Picture

Native resolution or scaled down; SDR, or HDR on an HDR display with HEVC or AV1

Files

MP4 video; PNG or JPEG screenshots, and for HDR, Ultra HDR JPEG or HDR PNG

Audio

Everything you hear, or on Windows 11 only the game and the apps you choose; a microphone with push to talk and a noise gate, on its own track if you like

Opens

MKV, WebM, MOV, AVI, WMV and TS videos, and HEIC, AVIF, WebP and JPEG XL pictures; some need an extension from the Microsoft Store

Captions

Made on your PC, in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese or Korean; the speech model downloads when you turn them on

Webcam

Any camera Windows lists, capture cards included, recorded at 720p or 1080p beside the game

Game events

Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, Dota 2 and Rocket League, with kills, deaths, objectives and goals marked in your recordings; Dota 2 and Rocket League are turned on in settings, and Dota 2 also needs a launch option in Steam

Export for

Discord, X, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts

Stream Deck

Plugin included, for the Stream Deck app 7.1 or newer
